Apart from employees and students, Hacettepe University conducts trainings and awareness activities for wider communities such as our graduates and local people.

Hacettepe University Lifelong Learning Center organizes certificate programs for all segments of society. Below are the trainings provided by the center in the field of sustainability in 2024.

  • Sustainable Development Certificate Program for Climate Change

  • Sustainable Living and Sustainable Vocational Training-Electric Bicycle Repair, Maintenance and Repair Training Program

  • Duke Üniversitesi Project Echo-Sürdürülebilir Altyapı Farkındalık Eğitim Programı

TÜBİTAK Science Talks

Hacettepe University Sustainable Campuses Coordinatorship Deputy Coordinator Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Dilara TÜFEKÇİOĞLU gave training on zero waste, waste management and recycling to 360 students in the 2nd and 3rd grades at Gölbaşı Atatürk Primary School within the scope of TÜBİTAK Science Talks.

     

Environment and Waste Management Training Series – Held in the Girls’ Dormitory of the Credit and Dormitories Institution

The continuation of the training program given by Prof. Dr. Sinan Erten was held at Beytepe KYK Girls’ Dormitory Conference Hall. The training aimed to encourage participants to become environmentally friendly individuals and raise awareness about sustainable living practices. In this process, the participation of the relevant dormitory staff and the students provided within the dormitory capacity played an important role in the efficient realization of the education.
