Hacettepe University has institutional policies that ensure equal access to all educational and social interaction activities offered by the university, regardless of ethnicity, religion, disability, immigration status, or gender. This principle is embodied in the “Hacettepe University Gender Equality Action Plan 2022-2026” and shared with the public. While preparing the plan; decision-making mechanisms, management levels, student-academic-administrative staff distributions, gender-themed courses and theses, projects, student societies, patent/document and assignment-mobility data were examined comprehensively. In addition, “Hacettepe University Ethical Values and Principles” (General Ethical Principles – Article 2), clearly stipulates that “Due to language, origin, color, bodily characteristics, gender, sexual orientation, political thought, faith, religion, sect and similar characteristics, people are not discriminated against and treated fairly in service delivery.” These documents are the institutional assurance of inclusivity and accessibility at the university.
