16.2.4 – Does your university as a body ensure that local stakeholders in the university, including local residents, local government, and civil society representatives (which may include groups such as refugee resettlement agencies), have a meaningful mechanism or for participating in university decision making?

Hacettepe University has established advisory boards to guide the University’s strategic goals, academic development, and social contribution activities by involving external stakeholders in decision-making processes. Through these boards; The participation of local stakeholders, including local residents, local government and civil society representatives, in decision-making processes is ensured. Advisory boards meet regularly to evaluate the University’s strategic plan, academic activities, and social contribution studies. The suggestions made at these meetings contribute to the decision-making processes of the University. The functioning and coordination of the advisory boards are regularly reviewed and updated by the Quality Management Office.

Hacettepe University External Stakeholders

External stakeholders of Hacettepe University consist of public institutions, local governments, private sector organizations, non-governmental organizations and graduates. In the decision-making processes of the university on education, research, social contribution and sustainability; the opinions and suggestions of external stakeholders are evaluated.

Hacettepe University Advisory Board

Hacettepe University Advisory Board; It was created to receive opinions and suggestions in order to contribute to the strategic plans of the university, to increase its social impact, to provide institutional development, and to improve education and research processes.

Hacettepe University Academic Unit Advisory Boards

Hacettepe University establishes academic unit advisory boards at the faculty level. University; It makes improvements in this direction by making use of the experiences, opinions and suggestions of the members of these boards, which consist of representatives of the public, private sector and non-governmental organizations. The membership structure and activities of these boards are regularly reviewed and updated by the University’s Quality Management Office.

Hacettepe University Receives Institutional Accreditation from YÖKAK

Hacettepe University has been awarded accreditation for 5 years within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program implemented by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) to increase the quality of higher education institutions and contribute to quality assurance. At the certificate presentation ceremony held within the International Quality Assurance and Accreditation Conference organized by YÖKAK, the Full Accreditation Certificate of our university was presented to our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran by YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar and YÖKAK President Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak.
